The century-old KGK Group founded by Shri Kesrimal Ji and Shri Ghisilal Ji Kothari of Jaipur in 1905 have in the last three decades gone from trading in gemstones to becoming a global conglomerate with interests across the entire spectrum of gem and jewellery business — mining, sourcing, polishing, manufacturing, distribution of coloured stones, diamonds and branded jewellery with active presence across 17 countries.

We spoke to the Hong Kong-based Sanjay Kothari, Vice Chairman, KGK Group, about his plans for the Group.
Can you briefly tell us how the KGK Group achieved its global status going from being traders and diamond polishers to a fully integrated group covering the entire spectrum of gemstone, diamond and jewellery business — from mines to brands and distribution?
