This March, mark Earth Hour at the six SAFRA clubs islandwide, as special activities have been organised to educate and entertain visitors of all ages.

Earth Hour is a movement that encourages the switching off of non-essential lights for one hour from 8.30pm to 9.30pm on a designated day in the month.

In recent years, such activities at SAFRA clubs have been much anticipated and well received – along with the many other projects and programmes that SAFRA has put together for the same cause.

AN ECO ICON

SAFRA Punggol itself, in fact, has become an embodiment of SAFRA’s commitment to support green initiatives.

Opened in 2016, SAFRA Punggol was designed and built to seamlessly integrate with Punggol Waterway Park, and keep a clear focus on energy and water efficiency.

Every year, the club saves about 700,000 tonnes of carbon emissions, and brings about $360,000 in cost savings from electricity and utility bills.
