These three latest launches by Sanlorenzo are floating villas on the sea.
ITALIAN YACHT MAKER Sanlorenzo adds to its portfolio three homes on the water that embody its ethos of comfort, spaciousness and ultimate sophistication. The first of these is the SL96Asymmetric. This yacht is unique in the sense that Sanlorenzo eschewed the traditional principles of yacht making by rethinking the harmony of design: this is the world’s first asymmetric yacht, a product of design ingenuity and functionality. This asymmetry allowed Sanlorenzo to dedicate more space to the interiors, while simultaneously bringing the outside in through clever features such as integrating the port side deck within the roof. The yacht is the brainchild of the inventive team at Sanlorenzo, along with car designer Chris Bangle and architect Bernardo Zuccon from Zuccon International Project.
Says Zuccon: “Each project is always brought to life by the sharing of an idea that is a synthesis between the sensitivity of the designer and the wishes of the client. In this case the input was clear, to continue the design process started with the SL102Asymmetric, with the aim being to retain the styles and symbolism that characterised the first product, reworking them and shaping them to give this new model its own identity. We have therefore worked on the details, on the identification of a symbol that can induce the eye to seek out and find those significant differences that make the product distinguishable within the range.”
