Rolls-Royce Motor Cars’ first SUV brings new levels of luxury off the road.
Literally, this is the Rolls-Royce of SUVs. Rolls-Royce doesn’t just make bespoke cars; its reputation makes it a byword for the best in customised luxury. You could say, “the Rolls-Royce of ” whatever, and you would be understood perfectly well.
Cullinan (S$1,268,888) is the British marque’s first such model and comes with “uniquely and superior bespoke personalisation potentials”, says Paul Harris, Asia Pacific regional director, of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. The very idea of an SUV once caused a schism among the Rolls-Royce faithful, who could not foresee how waft ability and bomb-proof luxury for brutal roads could co-exist. (Speaking of which, Cullinan is named after the biggest diamond in the rough found in 1905 in Transvaal, South Africa, and used in the British Crown Jewels.)
