Ways to Achieve Detachment

What Is Detachment? – A general dictionary defines detachment as a state of being objective or aloof. Practically everyone, creates certain bonds with people, places, materials, money, etc. However, such bonds can sometimes cause more grief than happiness and hence they must be broken or ended if you wish to become peaceful. Detachment is not an easy process as giving up something that you love is not a joke. However, as you age, you must gradually detach from many things and forgive, forget, let go, move on, and be prepared to lose gracefully. Also, detachment is healthy, especially when separating from toxic people.

What Do We Attach to? – The common things that people get attached to are relationships, money, social status, jobs, career, property, material comforts, and so on.
