Krip Rojanastien, Chairman & CEO, Chiva-Som International Health Resorts Co. Ltd, talks about the resort’s highly anticipated renovation plans, sustainability initiatives and its first new property overseas
Tell us a little about Chiva-Som?
Chiva-Som is a wellness resort that integrates holistic practices with Thai hospitality to deliver personal wellness programmes in a non-regimented way. Everything we do focuses on a holistic approach that embraces mind, body and spirit.
As the Chiva-Som International Health Resort, Hua Hin is undergoing renovations, what are the new offerings guests can expect?
This highly anticipated renovation, implemented under the direction of Design Realization Siam, an architecture company, allows for a more comfortable experience for guests. The improvements extend to nearly all in-room accessories, including new Chiva-Som guest robes and stationery as well as sleep spray and a take-home bag. The newly-upgraded Ocean Rooms and Suites are now Thai-contemporary and more spacious, providing the ultimate in aesthetic and eco-friendly serenity. Innovative use of Thai teak, silk and bamboo, together with hidden mood lighting and sensor lighting systems, create a calming effect whilst maintaining the resort’s signature Thai touch.
Are there any measures being undertaken during the course of the renovation to make the resort environmentally sustainable?
