What Goes Into The Making Of Louis Vuitton Bags

Leather goods have always played a starring role at Louis Vuitton. From its early days as the trunk-maker of choice for the traveling elite to the renowned luxury house we know today whose iconic monogram motifs are sported on bags and accessories coveted by the young and old alike, the Maison has always focused on crafting classic, functional designs with stylistic finesse.

More than that, Louis Vuitton harnesses its top-notch leather crafting capabilities and pushes the envelope further by working with rare and exotic skins for its bag collections targeted at its well-heeled clientele. Finding the most suitable exotic skins to use is a long and challenging process, the Maison openly admits, because it is difficult to source for suitable hides. Yet, the demand for such goods is high, as customers understand and appreciate the hard work and high level of skill required, which includes tanning, crafting and finishing, in order to create a bag from exotic skins.
