'I Paid My Best Friend To Seduce My Husband'
I’ve always thought myself a good judge of character. I’ve always been the trusting type, the kind who wholeheartedly believed in people whom I discerned to be good and honest. That is why when I met my dearest Henry*, he was to become my first and last boyfriend – I am now married to him. Little did I know, I would become so paranoid over my husband that I actually paid someone to try and lead him astray!
I met Henry at – of all places – a friend’s book club. He looked pleasant; a little nerdy and shy, but when it came to discussing literature, he impressed everyone with his eloquence and passion, including me. It took two months after we first met before we went on our first date – I made the first move to ask him out, after having carefully observed him and “analysed” his character.
Henry was a mummy’s boy, a diligent worker, and an introvert who liked nothing more than staying at home to cook, clean and watch old movies. I, on the other hand, was the complete opposite – I was outspoken, a rebel and liked shopping till I dropped. Yet, I thought of him as ideal husband material, so after a three-year-long courtship, I took the plunge and proposed.
