Kriti Sanon, Ready To Rule Our Minds

Where are we likely to find you on New Year’s Eve?

I’m done filming Bareilly Ki Barfi, only a few songs are left which will be done in January. I sort of have a break from filming now. I haven’t planned anything yet for New Year’s, because every time I’ve planned something it’s not worked out and I just end up being in Mumbai. Let’s see... I hope this time I can get out somewhere.

It sounds like you’re basically on the go 24x7. How does one get used to that?

It’s not practically possible to be working all the time. You reach the limit where you’ll go, “Okay, I need a break.” Even a two-day break or, if I’m home, doing nothing—it refreshes me. And I do believe that at least once a year, you need to get out of Mumbai. As an actor you need to be very fresh mentally. Whenever you’re on set or you’re creating a character, you need that fresh perspective. The way I do it? A nice holiday. But it has to be a place I’ve not seen before.

What’s the best part about international travel for you?

It’s the little things, like sitting in a coffee shop and not being recognised. Or not having to look around for people who might know you. I have found that to be extremely refreshing.

So, what kind of traveller does that make you?
