THE wife of the late Martin McGuinness has thanked all those who have supported her family since his death.
The former Sinn Fein Deputy First Minister passed away last week following a short illness, aged 66.
Thousands of people attended Mr McGuinness’s funeral in Derry on Thursday morning.
His wife, Bernie, released a statement yesterday wherein she thanked all those who had offered their condolences since her husband’s death.
“On my own behalf and Martin’s family I want to thank all of those who have offered their condolences since Martin’s death, including the countless people who sent messages, mass cards and prayers,” she said.
“I want to thank the doctors and the nurses who looked after Martin during his illness.
