The 15th Bodoland Day was celebrated at BTC Secretariat ground, Bodofa Nwgwr in Kokrajhar on Friday to mark 15 years of The Historic BTC Accord Day with a day-long colourful programme amid a huge gathering of people from all regions.
Attending the Function as the Chief guest Honorable Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said that “BTC Accord is a fruitful accord and after signing this accord, just within 14 years the people of this region got many development under a good leadership of BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary and if people work together with peace and brotherhood then we can develop this region as well as Assam as per people’s desire”.
He also said that “the peace and unity is the main root while bringing development and integration among all sections of communities in the state”.
The Chief Minister also thanked the BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary for his noble initiative to bring peace and brotherhood in the region and getting confidence across the section of people living in BTC area and also praised with for the developmental activities in his 14 years rule as BTC Chief, its inception in the region. He also mentioned that the state Government is ready to ensure all possible co-operation for all round development of BTC and added that the development of BTC is quite satisfactory but the dreams of development stands meaningless without peace.
