SGT University came into existence under the Haryana Private Universities (Amendment) Act No. 8 of 2013. It operates under the Dashmesh Educational Charitable trust which was founded in 1999 with the holy cause of spreading the message of Shree Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the great philosopher and social reformer which states that ‘spread of learning is the best service to mankind’. Infact the University had a humble beginning with the establishment of SGT Dental College way back in 2002.
