Crammed relief camps, sinking villages ticking disaster bombs

As monsoon drenched the entire nation, Assam and Bihar - two states in the Ganga-Brahmaputra plains have been reeling under the impacts of floods. Residents of these states are not only battling to survive incessant rain and heavy downpour but are also facing a new wave of coronavirus cases.

Menace caused due to flood fury in Assam has also affected the fight against Covid-19 outbreak also affected the fight again in the state. Hundreds of the villagers across the state are still submerged. However, floodwaters have started to recede in many parts of Assam after weeks of devastation, but now epidemics have emerged as a new risk now. The bigger worry for the officials in the state is to control corona bomb which is ticking in crammed relief camps and deluged villages.
