Cradle Cap: A Recap
Cradle cap is an inflammatory condition that manifests as a scaly, greasy, and flaky rash on the top, back, and sides of a baby’s head, as well as around the ears and sometimes down the face into the eyebrows and eyelids. It can also appear in the groin area and cause hair loss in babies. However, it does not usually bother the child. It may vary in colour from whitish, yellow, and brown, and is usually hard to the touch. Cradle cap can spread and become worse, so treating it early is a good idea in order to prevent spreading and an increase in severity.
