Cathedral in the Desert is a stunning monument located in the heart of Glen Canyon. Named for its resemblance to a cathedral, it has been submerged by nearly 100 feet with flood water from Lake Powell reservoir since 1963. David Brower, then head of the Sierra Club, referred to this event as “America’s most regretted environmental mistake.” Nine vertical images were merged to create this 274MB-size shot.
