Airbrushing was my first love. I started taking photos because I wanted to have my own references and avoid having to always ask permission to reproduce images. Very soon, though, my main interest shifted to photography and I started experimenting in various genres. I don’t like to be bound to one genre. My artistic background causes me to question the way I sometimes feel and I can’t always convey this through a conventional image. I started to experiment with post-production techniques and achieved these images by overlaying the same photo multiple times, shifting each layer as I saw fit and playing with the opacity and various blending modes. My inspiration for these pictures was Thomas Vanoost, a brilliant fine art photographer.
