From portraits to glamour and fine art nudes to boudoir, photographer and model Natasha J Bella shows how to take beauty shots with confidence
THE PRO
NAME: Natasha J Bella
CAMERA: Nikon D810
THE APPRENTICE
NAME: Alessandro Mastellone
CAMERA: Nikon D750
Alessandro is originally from Sorrento in Italy but is now based in Brighton. He works for a hotel group and semi-professionally as a photographer, shooting everything from weddings to food for restaurants, but wants to expand his repertoire into beauty photography. While he has some experience with studio lights, Alessandro felt he needed a confidence boost to get the best out of shooting models in intimate scenarios.
A lessandro arrived at Natasha’s purpose-built studio – a converted garage at the back of her home in a leafy suburb of Leeds, Yorkshire. Not that you’d know its former function on the inside: a dressing table in one corner, a double bed in another, a chaise longue against a wall, and different strips of wallpaper across the walls, to create cosy sets with different looks for Natasha’s boudoir shoots.
