As a well-travelled photographer of some 40 years, I love visiting new places and revisiting some of my favourite locations. A friend encouraged me to visit Krakow in Poland and I wasn’t disappointed. They also suggested I visit the Auschwitz concentration camps.
I’ve always felt that this would be one place I couldn’t face, but my wife said it was something we should go and experience, to understand the horrors that went on there.
