MEDITATED HERE? ANGKOR WAT!

No one knows how these temples were built! No one knows why they were abandoned! No one knows how many of them were there! But the grandeur and massive structures of Angkor have mesmerized anyone who has been there. We know of massive temples with intricate carvings in India; people might speak about the Egyptian Pyramids or the Aztec and Mayan Pyramids in South-America, but this advanced level of artwork and engineering that you find in the Angkor’s temples would beat all of them. We still do not know the full size of the complex. Accidentally discovered by a French explorer, Henri Mouhot in 1840 amongst the thick vegetation in Cambodia, the Angkor Wat was in ruins. Even the locals know very little about the temples.

Angkor Wat later was found to have been built by Hindu Khmer Emperors. Angkor Wat, the largest temple of the Angkor complex is the largest temple in the World. To give you an idea of the massive structure, the outer wall is 3.6 kilometers long surrounded by a moat which is 5 kilometers long.
