While asleep, I had an unusual experience. There was a red screen formed by flowing blood, as it were. I was observing it. Suddenly a hand began to write on the screen. That hand wrote a number of elliptic integrals. They stuck to my mind. As soon as I woke up, I committed them to writing. - S Ramanujan

India’s freedom is immensely indebted to the great minds in the sciences and the arts who proved to the world that India was not a primitive race, as the British imperialists portrayed; but an ancient civilization with a great legacy, once more casting its light of peace and creativity on the world. S C Bose, Tagore, Sri Aurobindo, Dr. Radhakrishnan, Ravi Varma, and so many more emerged to dazzle the world. One such was Ramanujan, whose revolutionary mathematics is unveiling the mysteries of Numbers a hundred years after his death.

Infinity is the most fascinating of numbers. The Indian philosophy of Vedanta expressed the concept of Infinity thousands of years ago in the immortal mantra:

Om: That is Infinite, this is Infinite From Infinity comes Infinity If Infinity is taken away from Infinity, Only Infinity remains. Om, Peace, Peace, Peace.
