How To Listen To Podcasts On Your Amazon Echo

If you’re a devoted podcast listener and want to access your favorite shows on your Alexa device, Apple Podcasts is now an option that lets you ask Alexa to play the latest episode of your favorite podcasts. You can also listen to podcasts through Spotify, iHeartRadio, TuneIn, and SiriusXM.

LINK PODCAST SERVICES

Your first task is to add and link services that offer podcasts. To do this, open the Alexa app on your phone or tablet. Tap the hamburger menu and select Settings > Music & Podcasts > Link New Service, then choose the service you want to add, such as Apple Podcasts.

Tap the button to Enable to Use. You’re then asked to sign into the service to link your account with Amazon. Sign into your account. Tap the button to allow access and then tap Done. Return to the previous screen and add any other services you wish to use to access podcasts.

In some cases, the service may appear in the list below the Link New Service button, but that won’t necessarily mean you have access to the app. Tap a service from this list and sign in, if necessary.

SET A DEFAULT PODCAST APP

Next, you’ll want to set a specific service as the default podcast provider, which means you don’t need to give the name of the service when you request a podcast.
