Brammeier praises tight-knit squad after they win four stages
Ethan Hayter added another batch of achievements to his ever-growing and impressive palmarès by winning the prologue, stage one and the points jersey at the Under-23 Giro d’Italia last week.
Matt Brammeier, lead academy coach at British Cycling, said of the young star: “We took a team there not with any favoured climbers, and with Ethan we didn’t have any bold goals of GC, we just went in to win stages with the riders and the team we had.”
