Kapil Dev being the inspiring force Indian cricket has produced a num-ber of fast bowlers since the great man’s time. Some faded away, some lasted the course and some created a lot of excitement when they arrived on the scene particularly bowlers like Irfan Pathan and Ishant Sharma. But surely no pace bowler has created quite the kind of sensation as Jasprit Bumrah. Initially he was thought good enough only for the shorter versions of the game and indeed he made his debut in both the formats in January 2016. Winning his spurs in ODIs and T-20 internationals Bumrah was elevated to the Test ranks only in January this year. And yet by the end of 2018 he is the most talked about bowler in the land.
