1 LEVER POSITION
Your brake levers need to be clamped to the handlebar in a position where you can comfortably (and without having to move your arm or hand awkwardly) extend your index finger forward and pull the lever blade, close to where it's kinked at its end. This will ensure you're getting maximum leverage. Use the appropriate Allen or Torx key to move your levers along the bar until this is possible.
2 LEVER ANGLE
Pointing your brake levers straight down at the ground or angling them up towards the sky will make life hard on your wrists and can throw your whole riding position off. We advise rotating them on the bar so that they're pointing slightly downwards, between 15 and 25 degrees from horizontal. This will help keep your wrists nicely in-line with your forearms, which will help reduce fatigue.
