Well it has felt a very non-eventful summer from a football standpoint.
In general I manage to switch off but the ubiquitous iPad makes frequent interruptions to tell me how Jurgen cocked up the van Dijk transfer (we can't blame Ian Ayre this time though he had just departed from Munich 1860 and may have been moving and shaking in the background), what the fixture list is (in general terms - most games can still be played on one of four different “weekend” days) and what the new strip looks like. I can cope with that. As I write we have added to forward power with two signings, and fixed the left back problem (we hope) - is it true we have never won the league without a Scotsman in the team? - Good news but without van Dijk the centre back weakness remains, and we haven't even tried to find a goalie. Granted, Mignolet improved in some of his weak areas last season but is still miles off the pace when compared with our major rivals' goalies.

Transfer Me Back In Time@dmoenlfc
I took it upon myself at the end of last season to ignore anything to do with transfer activity this summer until I see the player in question with the usual scarf above head pose with hopefully a beaming Jürgen alongside.
