BAJRANG PUNIA SET the ball rolling as he won India’s first gold medal at the Jakarta edition of the Asian Games. Wrestler Punia triumphed in the 65kg event, a category in which his idol— Yogeshwar Dutt—won gold in the 2014 edition of Asian Games. Soon after his win, Punia said, “This is not my victory. This victory is for Yogeshwar bhai.”
