NEC MultiSync EA245WMi

Slimline design, excellent image quality and business friendly features leave price as the only negative.

In these days of 4K, HDR and cutting-edge OLED technology, it’s difficult to get excited about a monitor designed for the office. NEC’s MultiSync EA245WMi, however, is a cut above the average.

At almost £400, you can say the same about the price. It’s once you start using the MultiSync EA245WMi that it begins to justify that premium. The slender profile means that it takes up precious little space on a desk, and with tiny 9mm bezels stretching around the top and sides, the excellent 24in IPS panel takes centre stage.

Granted, the super-slimline design means that the adjustable stand isn’t as reassuringly sturdy as NEC’s chunkier models, but you still get 100mm of height adjustment, a modest amount of front-to-back tilt, and the monitor swivels into portrait mode, too.
