Someone asked me the exact definition of ‘desirable’ the other day, and I said, it’s subjective. But the question lingered in my mind, long after the conversation had come to an end.
I am desperately waiting for the clock to strike 19.00, anticipating a telephonic conversation with the girl who makes most men utter ‘WOW’ right after you mention her name – Amy Jackson. She is the ‘desirable woman’, the cover star, of our festive special issue. Rummaging through her pictures from our shoot, I notice that, sans the drama of carrying around an Indian bridal look, bedecked in jewellery, glammed lehenga and accessories, she exuberates a perfectly calm and effortlessly sumptuous charisma. There’s a lot of royal splashed on my screen right now, she is a Princess Bride, sitting on that throne, like she owns the world.
I jump at the sound of the ringtone and instantly take the call, and I am finally connected with Amy. She has been breezing through countries like a fresh breath of air, leaving traces of her enticing energy at London, Milan, and Dubai. After a long day of posing in front of the camera, when she has finally settled down to have a word with me, it does not go unnoticed that the conversation has sparked her excitement and brought back the memories of our exclusive bridal shoot. “It was a beautiful experience” she says, in a delighted tone. “I love the colours, the assortments, the stunning lehenga and the overall look that an Indian bride carries. It has always allured me.” We further indulge in a deep conversation….
