THE SABC is in crisis mode as its finances are in disarray. On the other hand, the broadcaster’s former COO, Hlaudi Motsoeneng recently went ballistic during a press conference he organised, where he shredded the interim board into pieces.

FINANCIAL SITUATION 

One of SABC’s top priorities at the moment is reversing decisions, which include the 90 percent local content rule introduced by Hlaudi. Addressing Parliament’s Communications Committee recently, deputy chairperson of the SABC Board, Mathata Tsedu, said, “A lot of stupid decisions were made without applying intelligence.”
