NETWORK marketing has become the favoured alternative to full-time employment for many people and it has also been regarded as the answer to the dire unemployment situation in South Africa.

The distributors or marketers make their profit from sales, while receiving commission from the companies. They also get paid monthly royalty fees, according to how many products they have sold during a particular time.

Big companies, especially those dealing with healthcare and insurance products, have, with the intention of expanding their networks and increasing their sales, introduced network marketing by hiring independent personnel to distribute their products.
