Treehouses, Norfolk
Lexham’s fairy-tale treehouses offer a green, guilt-free holiday, with soul-lifting wild swims in a beautiful lake that is fed by a chalk stream. Its wide range of treehouses supply everything from staircases and furniture – including natural four-poster beds’ – handcrafted locally from tree branches, and stained glass that floods the rooms with dazzling light, to ‘living trees’ growing through the floors and twinkling fairy lights. Many have private ensuites, all have eco central heating, log-burning cookers and natural toiletries. As well as the lake, there’s a heated, naturally filtered outdoor pool and a cafe serving delicious stone-baked sourdough pizzas.
Two-person treehouses from £120 per night, six-person from £210. See westlexham.org
