Harry and Meghan’s continuing war with the Windsors has cast a shadow over what should have been a jovial year of celebrations for the Queen.
Rather than focus on Her Majesty’s historic jubilee, the family is braced for the inevitable ‘truth bombs’ the Duke of Sussex is planning for his upcoming memoir.
But with increasingly dark clouds gathering over senior members of the Royal Family, the rebel couple could yet inflict their biggest blow on the ‘institution’.
So could the Duke and Duchess of Sussex really bring down the Royal Family?
Rather than settle for a quieter life as expected, Harry and Meghan have found greater fame and fortune from their Californian base camp in the two years since they shocked the world.
With a subsequent ‘mini tour’ of New York and royal visits in all but name, they are now in direct competition with the rest of the family. Almost every single page from the royal rule book has been ripped to shreds, the lid has been lifted on the mystery and, worryingly, no one knows where this will all end.
Harry and Meghan have been at pains to stress their admiration for the woman who has reached the milestone of 70 years on the throne.
