It’s no secret that Eamonn Holmes has been struggling with his health over the past few years, but it seems things have taken a turn for the worse. After worrying fans with his recent absence on GB News, Eamonn revealed that his chronic back pain had left him in hospital and unable to work.
In a statement shared on his Twitter account, Eamonn explained, ‘Unfortunately, due to a recurrence of a long-term back condition, I’ve had to undergo some unexpected hospital treatment and am now following doctors’ orders by taking a short time off. I now just need some time with my family to heal and recuperate.’
And with Eamonn admitting he fears what life would be like if wife Ruth were to become his full-time carer – remarking, ‘She doesn’t have the most caring nature’ – how are the couple coping with this latest blow?
