Her son is on a mission

As her genetically blessed brood enjoyed an action-packed holiday on the Adriatic Coast last week, Victoria Beckham looked more relaxed than we’ve seen her in years.

For the first time in a long and emotionally fraught year, and amid continual divorce rumours, the former Spice Girl and her husband David have all four kids back in their orbit. And now eldest son Brooklyn has dropped out of university, Victoria doesn’t have to steel herself for more sad goodbyes.

A source close to the high-profile fashion designer tells Woman’s Day that Victoria, 44, was privately thrilled when Brooklyn, 19, announced he was dropping out of his $34,000-a-term photography course at the prestigious Parsons School of Design in New York.

He confessed to friends and loved ones that after 10 months away from the family fold, his homesickness had become unbearable. Instead of sticking it out, he decided to defer the course and return to London to take up an internship with a respected but unnamed British photographer.

“Victoria is absolutely delighted,” tells our source. “She really struggled when Brooklyn left for New York and has often been in tears after a phone call or FaceTime session with him. She felt like a piece of her heart was missing.”
