Circus star's new ring 'WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!'
As the tiny private plane whisked Kiarnna Weber and her boyfriend Ivan Souza across the fresh snow atop Aoraki/Mt Cook, it occurred to the breakout star of reality TV series The Circus that this would be a wonderful way to get engaged.

But she quickly put the thought out of her mind as they touched down on the peak – she knew they were simply celebrating six years of romance at the Weber Brothers Circus, where they both work.

But as the eighth-generation big-top performer started playing in the snow, pushing her boyfriend into the fresh powder, he crouched down to make a snowball and suddenly he was on one knee with a ring in hand.

“I felt like I was going to pass out – I was just so excited,” Kiarnna, 22, tells Woman’s Day, chatting to us in their trailer ahead of a performance. “I blurted out yes so fast!”

Having plucked up the courage to ask her parents, circus owners Marie and Harry, if he could marry the eldest of their eight children, stunt performer Ivan, 30, had been planning the day for months.

“Kiarnna is amazing,” he gushes. “We have so much fun together and she is so hard working. I’m proud of the way she runs the circus. She looks after me too. And Queenstown is our favourite place here in New Zealand.”

Brazilian-born Ivan conspired with one of Kiarnna’s friends to do a little digging on what sort of rings she liked and what size she was, before commissioning Claire at VU Jewellers in Queenstown to design her gold and diamond ring.
