The duchess’ floaty frocks are starting rumours.

She’s only been married a month, but pregnancy gossip was already swirling around the new Duchess of Sussex even before her father mentioned the possibility. And when Meghan stepped out in an uncharacteristically billowy dress last week, the rumour mill went into overdrive.

While Prince Harry and his new bride have made no secret of their desire to start a family, it was thought they would wait until after their tour of New Zealand and Australia in October. However, if the latest whispers from Kensington Palace are to be believed, it seems they might already be expecting!

“Speculation has been rife for a while, but it’s really ramped up in the past week,” a well-placed royal insider tells Woman’s Day. “People are saying that the floaty dress she wore at the family wedding is a giveaway – and she certainly looked a little rounder in the middle than usual.”

Indeed, the $7000 floral Oscar de la Renta wrap dress that Meghan, who turns 37 in August, donned for Princess Diana’s niece Celia McCorquodale’s wedding was a step away from her usual figure-hugging style.

And when she attended the races at Royal Ascot just days later in a chic white shirt dress, all eyes were firmly on the duchess’ tummy. One US magazine even claimed the brunette bombshell was expecting twins!
