Catch versatile Chef, Ranveer Brar in conversation with President, Women Fitness, Namita Nayyar sharing an insight into his journey, expert tips, his persona in making, healthy cooking and a special recipe
Motivated by the local Kebab vendors in Lucknow to pursue your love of food, working today as a celebrity chef, how would you describe your journey?
When you are truly passionate about something, you just pursue it wholeheartedly. I am someone who started out by romancing food in the lanes of Lucknow, roughing it at Munir Ustad’s Kebab stall and working my way up the ranks. All I knew through it all, was that I was doing what I love and wanted to do for the rest of my life. And I’ve always believed that Food is a giver. When you invest so much in it unconditionally, it will surely give back. Above all, God has been kind.
Ranveer, you have an amazing YouTube channel and social media platforms where you make cooking look so enjoyable & easy, also you talk about the history of dishes and cooking style, your ideology behind it? Share 5 tips for budding YouTubers and young cooking enthusiasts who would like to pursue chef as a career?
One principle I have been guided by and I piously follow is to make a connect with the product you are presenting, in this case food, and present your interpretation of it. That’s what will make you stand out. Why is a dish special to you, what different element do you add to it and so on? It’s also important to make a connect with your choice of medium, understand the audience and do the prep accordingly. And most importantly, be yourself.
