The bathroom has ceased to be a space solely dedicated to function; it is gradually becoming a place to express one's wishes, desires and tastes as a distinctly private space. AXOR by Hansgrohe has been instrumental in transforming the most ubiquitous space of our home to a space with a distinct personality. Since it was founded in 1993, the brand has been committed to adding a touch of individuality to our most private spaces. "Our products are designed by personalities for personalities," Gaurav Malhotra, Managing Director, Hansgrohe India, summarises the brand's design approach. This is reflected in the AXOR product portfolio, which stands apart with its vast variety of styles. For the past two decades, AXOR has been reinventing luxury and experience in bathrooms with their collaborations with iconic names like Phillipe Starck, Antonio Citterio, Patricia Urquoila, Jean Marie Massaud. Here's a look at some of their most iconic collections.
AXOR ONE BY BARBER & OSGERBY
Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby are a highly acclaimed creative pair that exemplify the idea of interaction design. The approach stands for the user's interaction with the product- what he sees, hears and needs.
This art of design has also led to international public commissions, including the creation of the Olympic Torch 2012 and the design of a two-pound coin for the Royal Mint, both of which feature crucial haptic details. Barber Osgerby collaborated with AXOR to realize interaction design within the bathroom.
With AXOR One, Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby have reinvented familiar archetypes-for greater clarity of form, improved function, and optimal control.
The result is a collection of sleek, elegant shapes that embody the principles of compact luxury.
