It's gruesome to witness how much patriarchy has damaged our lives and still continues to do so. Indian history is full of the stories about men's ego, pride, their lust to achieve and control everything. The world has witnessed tremendous damage because of how far a few men have gone to put the other one down. I wonder, How much hatred is there for someone, that they dared to go against the whole community. I wasn't born when it started but it's heart-wrenching to see that communal hatred, ethnic cleansing and sectarian violence has not stopped yet. I've read plenty of it like World Warf, Godhra riots, anti-sikh riots and the list is never-ending. I don't want to go into the numbers as I've seen the cruelty done on women and children who have never asked for it.

In our society, men have traditionally been labeled as providers and women as nurturers, but there is nothing wrong with being a CEO, wife, and mother all at once. In fact, it can be incredibly empowering. It's perfectly acceptable for a woman to be the primary caregiver in the home while her husband is out working, just as it's okay for a man to be a stay-at-home parent and take a break from work.
