The ceremony, held in Gurugram, Haryana, marks a pivotal step towards ensuring the timely delivery of vital infrastructure projects across the nation.
Among the significant milestones achieved, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the Haryana section of the prestigious Dwarka Expressway, a pivotal 19 km stretch designed to alleviate congestion between Delhi and Gurugram on NH-48. With a total cost of around Rs. 4,100 crore, this segment includes two key packages: the 10.2 km Delhi-Haryana Border to Basai Rail-over-Bridge (ROB) and the 8.7 km Basai ROB to Kherki Daula.
This expressway not only enhances connectivity between Delhi and Haryana but also offers direct access to the IGI Airport in Delhi and the Gurugram Bypass, promising a transformative shift in the travel experience for the region's populace. During the inauguration, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the profound impact of these projects, stating that they would not only revolutionize transportation but also significantly improve the lives of the people in the region. He underscored the government's commitment to expediting project implementation, noting that within the first three months of 2024, infrastructure projects worth over Rs. 10 lakh crore have been either inaugurated or had their foundation stones laid. In addition to the Dwarka Expressway, several other key projects were inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi, including the Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II) in Delhi, the Lucknow Ring Road in Uttar Pradesh, the Anandapuram-PendurthiAnakapalli section of NH16 in Andhra Pradesh, the KiratpurNerchowk section of NH-21 in Himachal Pradesh, and the Dobaspet-Heskote section in Karnataka.
