CAN-AM-INSPIRED BRITISH SUPERCAR
Unique Cars|Issue 482
STEVE NICHOLS, founder of Nichols Cars has created the N1A, a featherweight Can-Aminspired, road-going British supercar that pays homage to an iconic '60s-era race car, the original McLaren M1A.
CAN-AM-INSPIRED BRITISH SUPERCAR

Nichols and his CEO John Minett along with several talented individuals set out to create a car utilising the latest technologies while blending retro styling with modern design cues in a car built to be enjoyed on the open road. The 900kg, production-ready

N1A offers an exhilarating, unadulterated driving experience with minimal driver aids.

Power for the N1A comes from a hand-built, naturally-aspirated seven-litre LS3-based V8 engine with 650hp mated to a six-speed gearbox. It has independent front and rear double wishbone suspension with anti-roll bars and rolls on sticky low-profile Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres, 19 inches at the front and 20 inches at the rear.

Modern tech options include traction control, power steering, and switchable ABS.
