LOCATED JUST 20 minutes north of Brisbane's CBD in the suburb of Banyo is the Brisbane Motor Museum, opening its doors mid-June with great fanfare and its first exhibit, The Cars We Grew Up With.

After a welcome speech by Director Jackson Smith, museum founder and classic car collector Colin Galley cut the ribbon to declare the exhibit open.

The museum sees this inaugural exhibit as one that offers several aspects to patrons; be it a poster car for people growing up, a car you dreamed of owning or driving, a model you have a family or friend connection with and even the cars you regret selling.

Among the invited guests attending the opening night were exhibit car owners and members of many of Brisbane's largest car and motorcycle bike clubs.
