DUBAI AIR SHOW BOEING TOPS THE CHARTS

India showcases cutting-edge tech

The India Pavilion at the Dubai Air Show was abuzz with activity, spotlighting the latest aerospace technology advancements from premier Indian defence companies. Among the prominent participants were Bharat Electronics, Bharat Dynamics, Mishra Dhatu Nigam, and Hindustan Aeronautics.

India's indigenously developed Light Combat Aircraft, LCA-Tejas Mk1, took the spotlight. Manufactured by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), the fighter jet featured the LCA-Tejas Mk1 in a static display, strategically positioned alongside AL TARIQ's LR-PGM, a precision munitions system developed by the UAE-based EDGE group.

HAL and the EDGE Group formalised their partnership earlier this year through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This collaboration aims to investigate the integration of AL TARIQ's family of modular, long-range, all-weather, day-night precision munitions onto HAL's fixed-wing aircraft. This strategic alliance brings together the expertise of two leading entities in the aerospace industry, holding the promise of advancements in precision munition capabilities for military aircraft.

A major highlight at the Indian Pavilion was the debut of the Twin Engine Deck Based Fighter (TEDBF), developed by the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO). The TEDBF, a medium-weight carrier-borne aircraft, distinguishes itself with versatility in air defence and maritime strike missions. Featuring automatic ski-jump take-off and arrested landing on aircraft carriers, a delta-wing configuration with canards, and cutting-edge indigenous weapons, the TEDBF incorporates advanced technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) based Health and Usage Monitoring Systems (HUMS) and man-unmanned teaming capability.
