This was according to Ben Duminy, chairperson of FSA's Commercial Affairs Committee. Duminy said in a statement that the organisation was also concerned about the fact that the Department of Community Safety, Roads and Transport continued to appoint sub-standard contractors to take care of the roads.
"FSA is alarmed by the department's lack of transparency, adequate, timeous and well-managed stratagems, resulting in tender documents getting withdrawn, only for the drawn-out processes of tender submissions to start again," he said.
