Danny Masterson prosecutors reveal church accessed secret police files

AFURIOUS judge has ordered an investigation into Scientology’s shady underbelly after the church — accused of covering up the alleged sex attacks by celeb member Danny Masterson — secretly got its hands on sealed prosecution evidence used in the actor’s rape trial.

GLOBE has learned the church mysteriously obtained official confidential investigation reports, emails between cops and Masterson’s accusers and photos related to three former Scientologists who claimed the 47-year-old That '70s Show star sexually assaulted them between 2001 and 2003.

At a May 10 hearing in L.A., Deputy District Attorney Reinhold Mueller shocked Judge Charlaine Olmedo with the news he saw an email revealing church officials apparently viewed sealed files only he and Masterson's lawyers were entitled to see.

After Masterson attorney Philip Cohen denied sharing the material, the angry judge said the incident would be investigated when Masterson's trial concludes.

Forensic expert Dean Tong tells GLOBE it may take a lot of digging to find the source of the leak. "Masterson's lawyers denied providing it and they can't lie on the record,” Tong says. “They are officers of the court and that would be committing fraud or possible perjury.”
