It’s been almost 70 years since Christian Dior last held a catwalk show in Scotland. And to mark the French fashion house’s triumphant return to the land its founder loved, where better than the exquisite gardens of Drummond Castle in Perthshire, where stars including Rosamund Pike, Jennifer Lawrence, Anya Taylor-Joy and Minnie Driver witnessed Dior’s stunning, critically acclaimed resort 2025 collection, organised under Maria Grazia Chiuri’s creative direction.
The event was a spectacle of massed bagpipes, multicoloured tartans – “probably the only fancy fabric that resists fashions”, Monsieur Dior wrote in his The Little Dictionary of Fashion – and multitextured fabrics as Maria shared her latest designs with Scotland as her muse. The Italian designer, who took over as Dior’s creative lead in 2016 and often collaborates with other key female figures for her shows, teamed up on some creations with Scottish designer Samantha McCoach, of Le Kilt, blending classic prints with her own punk twist.
For the famous stars in attendance, a monochrome theme emerged. Saltburn star Rosamund was elegant in a black polo neck with white wide-leg trousers, classic black trench coat and white Dior clutch.
