But despite her phenomenal success, she says none of her boxoffice hits mean more to her than her children.
Speaking about her new film Emilia Pérez, the New Jersey-born star, who has identical twin boys Cy and Bowie, nine, and seven-year-old son Zen with her husband, Italian producer and director Marcus Perego, tells us: “If I never had another role like this, I would be happy because I am a mother.
“Everything else comes second to that. Everything I do now is part of the legacy I hope to leave for them.”
Zoe stars as lawyer Rita Moro Castro in the Spanish-language musical comedy crime fi lm, alongside big names including Selena Gomez.
“You have never seen anything like it. It’s almost indescribable because it is so unique,” she says.
FINDING HER VOICE
The movie is based on director Jacques Audiard’s opera libretto of the same name, meaning that the cast had to dust off their singing voices for their roles – a challenge the 46-year-old relished.
“I’m one of those people who like to think they can hold a tune. When I sing in the shower, I think I sound pretty good. Whether anyone else would think the same is debatable, but I think I sound like Beyoncé,” Zoe laughs.
