And the 2024 race was no different, with Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco, as well as Princess Beatrice and Zara Tindall, in pole position to watch the action as local boy Charles Leclerc roared to victory in his Ferrari on the streets of the tiny Mediterranean principality.
Albert and Charlene were delighted to see Monte Carlo-born Charles win, the driver declaring: "No words can explain it," of his joy as he received the trophy, which was housed in a bespoke Louis Vuitton trunk.
And the royal couple beamed when fellow Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz, who finished third, celebrated his team-mate's triumph by soaking him in sparkling wine.
Zara who attended with her husband, former rugby union international Mike - wore a green print minidress from Me+Em, while Beatrice kept things casual in a white dress and denim jacket.
SPARKLING CROWD
The cousins looked to be having a ball in a photo shared by Sky Sports F1 reporter Natalie Pinkham, showing Beatrice and Natalie kissing Zara's cheeks.
