Back on the big screen in Deadpool & Wolverine, the actor chats about keeping Marvel fans happy and getting back into superhero shape

HUGH JACKMAN CRYING WOLF

He received widespread acclaim for his performances in movie musicals Les Misérables and The Greatest Showman, but now Hugh Jackman is reprising his role as a superhero in the new all-action film Deadpool Wcris, donning & Wolverine's yellow-and-blue costume for the tenth time.

Here, the Australian-born actor - who has two children, Oscar, 24, and Ava, 19, with his former wife, actress Deborra-Lee Furness - chats to us about filming with a close friend and his superpower of choice.

Hugh, how much fun was it to don the Wolverine costume again?

"So much fun. I had the time of my life making this movie with Ryan [Reynolds], [writer/ director] Shawn Levy and Emma [Corrin]. I've played Wolverine in ten movies, but this felt new and invigorating.

"This one has friendship at its core, so to be working on and off screen with such great friends was a joy."

How would you describe the new film?

"It's like a buddy movie and a road-trip movie, with these two incredible characters and a lot more they meet along the way.

I describe the relationship between Deadpool and Wolverine as being like Nick Nolte and Eddie Murphy in 48 Hrs. It's a lot of fun."
