There are few couples who could assemble a party guest list including royalty, music superstars, world leaders and some of the planet's wealthiest entrepreneurs.
But as the son of Asia's richest man and the daughter of multibillionaire pharmaceutical tycoons, Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant had no problem gathering a who's who of global influence as they kicked off their pre-wedding celebrations in astounding style.
Rihanna, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg and Ivanka Trump - as well as Bollywood's brightest stars, top make-up artists, stylists and a team of chefs were among those visiting the Indian city of Jamnagar in the build-up to what has been called "the wedding of the century".
With an estimated £120m spent on three days of events, last week's lavish extravaganza was, incredibly, merely a prelude to the main event, which is set for 12 July.
And the jewel in the crown was an exclusive performance from Rihanna, who reportedly earnt a whopping £5m for her 19-song set.
NICE WORK
Stunning in a green lace dress embellished with micro-Swarovski crystals and a pink catsuit by The Attico, Rihanna delighted the crowd with her first full show in eight years.
She was joined on stage by Indian power couple Anant and Radhika and their families, the bride-to-be jumping up and down with excitement before Rihanna put her arms around the happy couple.
